Bishop valve technology offers a combination of very low noise levels and flexibility of valve boost characteristic. Dedicated processing of the sleeve and valve using Bishop processes results in maximum dimension control of the interacting metering edges at minimum processing time and cost.

ATS VALVE
The Bishop ATS Power Steering Valve allows low noise levels to be achieved without the need for accurate high cost input shaft metering edge grinding. The valve uses an innovative fluid arrangement resulting in substantial reductions in fluid cavitation. ATS Valves provide high levels of flexibility in the boost characteristic (ideal for present day EHPAS systems).

AIR BALANCE VALVE CENTERING MACHINE
The Bishop AIR BALANCE Valve Centering Machine uses air to quickly, cleanly and accurately find the balance point of a steering valve assembly and, in a single cold forming process, secures the torsion bar to the input shaft without the need for drilling and pinning.

  
SS11-CNC SLEEVE SLOT GENERATING MACHINE
The Bishop SS11-CNC Sleeve Slot Generating Machine produces highly accurate, multi-featured internal slots in power steering valves. The robust modular machine has different functions such as boring, automatic loading, automatic indexing, orientation and variable slot width.

  
SLOT MILLING AND ROLL IMPRINTING MACHINES
The Bishop Slot Milling and Roll Imprinting Machines are designed for producing the slots and metering edges in automotive power steering valve input shafts. Normally an integrated system, the compact machines can also be configured for stand alone operation. The machine can be configured to produce milled slots and metered edges with a five second cycle time including load and unload.

  
FEATHER EDGE GRINDING MACHINE
The Bishop Feather Edge Grinding Machine produces metering edges in power steering rotary valve input shafts to an extremely high accuracy. This provides the precise form, tolerance and angular position of the metering edges needed for high fidelity, low noise steering valves. This machine offers 100% in process gauging of incoming and outgoing parts.
